Michelle brings over ten years of legal experience focusing on elder law and estate planning while working at some of the most reputable elder law firms in the area.
Michelle is a native of Indiana. She received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where she graduated with highest distinction, and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree cum laude from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Michelle served as an associate editor of the Indiana Law Review during law school. She currently resides in Columbus, Indiana, with her husband, Brett, and two children, Calvin and Audrey.
Michelle is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, serves as a member of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF) Board of Directors, and is a member at Terrace Lake Church.
Valarie has over ten years of experience in the financial planning industry before transitioning to her legal career in estate planning and elder law.
Valarie resides in Franklin, Indiana with her husband Brad, and their two daughters, Brenna and Lauren. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Political Science and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Valarie believes being a part of her local community in Franklin is important. She, along with her family, attends the local events including the farmer’s market, festivals, and concerts at the amphitheater. They also attend church at Victory Christian Church where they volunteer as a family. Valarie and her family strive to live each day by their values of kindness, serving others, and personal responsibility.
Cynthia is our legal assistant and office manager. She is a welcome first contact for clients calling or visiting the office.
Cynthia spent her childhood in the hills of West Virginia and attended Berea College in Kentucky, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Community and Human Services. There she met and married her college sweetheart, Bryan. Together they are raising their four children, Toby, Eden, Jonah, and Abram.
Cynthia believes the most fulfilling and important role she will ever have is being a mom. She also loves to help people and make them feel at home. She finds joy in hosting and cooking for her family and friends, baking, reading a good book (hardcopy only), and photography.
Iris comes to us with over 30 years experience in the legal field. Since graduating from Ball State with her Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, she has been able to work in the areas of litigation, estate planning, estate administration, and guardianships. She is passionate about helping clients navigate the legal processes of life.
Iris is a life-long resident of Jennings County, where she lives with her husband. She also has two grown children. She is active in her church and many community activities. When you do not find Iris in the office, you can find her in her flower beds, camping, reading, or enjoying time with her family and friends. She truly enjoys life and living it to its fullest.
Stephanie joins our office as our Community and Client Liaison. She’s out and about in our communities meeting new people and deepening our relationships with our clients and those who care about our clients as much as we do! She’s passionate about community-building and assisting in providing our clients with the best resources available.
Stephanie grew up near St. Louis, attended college on an athletic scholarship, married an Indiana boy, and has called the Hoosier state home ever since! She has a master’s degree and worked in education for many years. She and her husband have three daughters who keep them running from practices to gyms to fields most evenings, and when she’s not at her kids’ activities, Stephanie enjoys reading, volunteering, traveling, house projects, and spending time with family and friends.
